At University of Miami Hospital, the Department of Gynecology/Women's Health offers comprehensive services for women of all ages. Our team includes physicians who are board-certified and experienced in subspecialties such as general obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, urogynecology (female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery), and reproductive health services.

General Obstetrics and Gynecology:
UM Hospital Gynecology/Women's Health offers gynecological services ranging from annual exams to advanced minimally invasive procedures and robotic surgery as well as general obstetrics care.

Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility:
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility is a subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that deals with hormonal disturbances, menstrual disorders, excessive hair growth, frequent miscarriages, inability to conceive a child, and other gynecologic diseases. UM Hospital is widely recognized for our work in the treatment of infertility and other endocrinologic disorders

Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery:
A female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery specialist (also known as a urogynecologist) is an obstetrician/gynecologist who specializes in the care of women with pelvic floor dysfunction. The pelvic floor is the muscles, ligaments, connective tissue, and nerves that help support and control the rectum, uterus, vagina, and bladder. The pelvic floor can be damaged by childbirth, repeated heavy lifting, chronic disease or surgery. We offer treatment, management, and surgery for women with conditions related to pelvic floor dysfunction, such as:
- Incontinence
- Prolapse
- Emptying Disorders
- Pelvic (or Bladder) Pain
- Overactive bladder
- Recurring urinary tract infection
- Post-partum patients with third- and fourth-degree lacerations

Reproductive Health Services
Serving women of all ages and socio-economic status, our Reproductive Health Services Clinic offers intimate and confidential family planning consultations. Our physicians are experts in all modern methods of routine contraception and can provide consultation on the best methods of pregnancy prevention for healthy women and those with serious medical conditions such as diabetes, high-blood pressure, etc. Additionally, after a thorough consultation and exam, specialists can provide appropriate services for miscarriage management, and pregnancy termination.
