For dialysis patients, a functioning dialysis access is necessary to provide a high rate of blood flow through a filter for efficient cleansing of waste materials. A poorly functioning dialysis access can result in incomplete dialysis treatments and declining health. It is also a leading cause of hospitalization among dialysis patients. More »
